Sayan Mukerji

Sayan Mukerji

After having qualified from Price Water House  as a Chartered Accountant over 35 years ago, Sayan Mukerji delved as a mundane finance professional, meandering  through various multinational companies (starting with  British manufacturer Avery India ,  then working with precision German electronic giant  Siemens, before switching to  swash buckling American  food  giant Heinz and finally ending his  professional career with German multinational Bayer as Vice President.)

After working as a professional for over 25 years Sayan had a sudden “awakening” when he decided to be free from the rigors of his Corporate attainments and decided to be part of the social sector where he found “people ethics” far more enriching, contributory and rewarding!  Sayan ran the administration for an international NGO based in Kolkata where he provided home, food, shelter, & education to over 250 underprivileged , runaway & orphaned children.

This is when Sayan decided to form a Music Foundation for the under privileged children. Sayan fulfilled his final dream of taking forward music as an universal expression of freedom and peace, when Violin Maestro Kala Ramnath approached him & together they formed Kalashree Music Foundation ( KMF ) in 2013 .

Sayan also has a very active interest in chess & music and felt that both these forms of creativity and expressions had a very profound and compelling influence on the “lesser privileged” often enabling them to put forward courage, confidence and harmony into their regular life & ensuing pursuits.

Sayan writes poetry & plays the Piano, Guitar & Violin, composes & produces music. Sayan is a regular Pod Caster & hosts talk shows across the country.
